  Majority shareholders Global Minerals BV increases holding in company and

2008 Acquires the Delkor global group of companies as a subsidiary of its equipment division, Bateman Engineered Technologies.  
  Embarks on aggressive acquisition and global expansion programme with divisions established in India and China and presence in CIS and Australia reinforced. 2006
2005 Admitted to Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of London Stock Exchange as Bateman Engineering N.V.  
  Bateman Africa established as first black-empowered process engineering and project management company in South Africa. 2004
2002 Now known as Bateman BV, company acquired by Charton Investments SA, and registered in Netherlands. Obtains exclusive use of BATEMAN brand name from former parent company, Edward L Bateman, which is henceforth known as ELB Group.  
  Bateman Project Holdings Limited listed (as BATEPRO) on Johannesburg Stock Exchange through reverse takeover of Titaco Consolidated Investments Limited. 1996
1994 Opens representative office in Russia.  
  ELB restructures into two holding companies: Bateman Industrial Holdings Limited and Bateman Project Holdings Limited (or Batepro). 1989
1980 Bill Bateman becomes chairman of company.   
  Acquires Van Eck & Lurie, enhancing project and process design capability and adding modular process plants to portfolio. 1978

Aggressive international expansion as establishes offices in Israel, USA and Australia.

 
  Moves main premises to Boksburg and Bateman Project Holdings (essentially project-engineering and management business) and Batecor (handling equipment business) registered. 1971
1960's 36 overseas principals now represented by Edward L. Bateman Limited and projects division capable of designing entire plants established. Edward Laurence Bateman appointed as chairman.   
  Edward L. Bateman lists as a public company on Johannesburg Stock Exchange with authorised share capital of 550,000 pounds. 1951
1947 Glen Bateman succeeds founder as Chief Executive.   
  Bateman establishes services facilities for complete test work on metallurgical operations. 1933
1931 Firm registered as a private company E. L. Bateman (Pty) Ltd with staff of eight, assets of GBP50,000 and turnover of almost GBP250,000.  
  Milestone in development of local manufacture as, at Bateman's initiative, Dorr Company Inc signs agreement with East Rand Engineering Works for latter to manufacture its products. 1930
1921 Edward L. Bateman takes sole charge of firm advertising under his own name.  
  Bateman and Ainsworth join forces to represent, principally, Allis Chalmers. 1907
1902 Edward Latrobe Bateman arrives in South Africa as representative of Allis Chalmers.  
  Herbert Ainsworth Ltd established with Gates (later to become Allis Chalmers) as principal agency. 1892
